The Journalism, Law and Rights Forum is proud to host the 2013 World Press Photo exhibition in Dublin, Ireland. The exhibition will open to the public in The chq Building, Dublin on Saturday, 30 November and will run until Sunday, 22 December.
Bringing the 2013 exhibition to Ireland is made possible with the generous assistance of The chq Building, Dublin and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Lead sponsor of the exhibition in Ireland, The chq Building is located in the IFSC, only minutes from Dublin city centre. It is a distinctive retail, restaurant and exhibition space in Ireland's capital city.
The chq Building is steeped in local history and traditionally locals knew it as the ‘Banquet Hall’ because it was the venue for one of the great social events of the mid-nineteenth century, the Crimean War banquet.
For over 55 years the World Press Photo contest has encouraged the highest standards in photojournalism globally. The 2013 exhibition comprises the 150 winning images chosen from more 103,481 images submitted by 5,666 photographers in 124 countries.
World Press Photo receives support from the Dutch Postcode Lottery and is sponsored worldwide by Canon.
